
Budiman Jimron
Budiman is a senior manager of business development of Sojitz Asia. Sojitz is a Japanese trading and investment house headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Since joining the company in year 2020, Budiman has been spearheading the business development efforts in his organization by accelerating collaborative efforts and investment into innovative startups working on sustainability issues, particularly in the area of food-tech, agri-tech and logi-tech.
He also provides mentoring and coaching to the founders of investee companies post investment to accelerate growth by providing extensive networks that Sojitz has built in the region, as well as his personal networks with the stakeholders within the industry. As an investment manager who likes to keep his boots muddy, he also provides hands-on experience to the investee companies in some aspects of the operational activities such as marketing.
Prior to joining Sojitz Asia, Budiman held several senior positions in one of the big 4 accounting firms and one Japanese mega bank, in which, he was covering healthcare and consumer business industry and has advised MNC clients of the backs in terms of strategic development and M&A advisory.
Budiman holds Master’s degree from the University of Tokyo in Biomedical Sciences. He speaks Indonesian, English, Japanese and Chinese.
