Rakesh Jaiswal

Mr Rakesh Jaiswal is Director of Electronics in A*STAR I&E Division and has a joint appointment as CIEO (Chief I&E Officer) in NQO (National Quantum Office) a National Platform in A*STAR.

As Director in A*STAR I&E division he oversees A*STAR’s industry/ eco-system development and IP strategy for Semiconductor/ Electronics companies and its value chain partners. He works closely with stakeholders across the R&D ecosystem as well as with government agencies to shape future enterprise development in Singapore.

As CIEO in NQO he develops and drives implementation of a go-to market and enterprise strategy for quantum. Leads NQO’s response to key companies’ interest to deepen collaboration on national quantum projects.

Prior to joining A*Star, Rakesh was in industry for more than 25yrs in regional and global management and functional roles, with US Fortune 500 MNCs such as Applied Materials and Becton Dickinson.

He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and holds an Executive MBA from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has also presented thought-pieces at global conferences and IEEE proceedings
