Arka Irfani is the CEO and Co-Founder of Bell Society, he graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung Majoring in Biology. He has a deep interest in synthetic biology, biomanufacturing, and ecology. He has been researching for the implementation for Bacterial Cellulose as leather replacement since 2018. He won swiss innovation challenge in 2019, and have received grant from Research ministry of Indonesia to further improve the material.
Bell Society is a biomaterial company that focuses on creating sustainable material. Currently Bell Society focuses on creating M-Tex, a leather alternative that is made by converting coffee skin waste. We produce a low impact leather alternative that absorb waste, consume much less water than leather, and most importantly biodegrade by the end of its lifetime. Our goal is to convert organic waste all over the world. Collaborating with brands to produce a more ecofriendly product all over the world.
