Sahil Tapiawala

Sahil Tapiawala is the Cofounder and CEO at Atomionics.

At Atomionics, he works with a team of cold atom physicists, electronics engineers, mechanical engineers and geophysicists to map the Earth's crust. To enable this, they have built groundbreaking cold atom gravimeter based technology, capable of an exponential improvement in pinpointing valuable resources like geothermal energy and battery minerals like nickel, copper, gold etc. that are critical for the energy transition.Sahil Tapiawala graduated with an M.Sc Chemistry and BE Electrical and Electronics engineering. He worked at the intersection of materials science and control engineering to build soft biomimetic robotic stingrays as part of his research at SUTD. Following that he designed miniaturized metal 3D printers for manufacturing components for aerospace and marine applications.
