Charles Sevior

Charles Sevior is CTO for the Unstructured Data Solutions Division of Dell Technologies. With a strong background in the media sector, he also provides focus on solutions for FSI, Automotive, AI, EDA, Smart Cities and other sectors across the Asia Pacific & Japan and Greater China regions.Charles has 30 years of professional engineering experience. 

Prior to joining Dell he was Technology Director for leading media company Nine Entertainment Co. Australia. There he managed the transition to a digital file-based workflow and broadcast technology transformation. He has enjoyed hands-on experience at major live broadcast events such as the Australian Grand Prix & Olympic Games. Charles was involved in the first terrestrial free-to-air broadcast of a live 3D sporting in May 2010. He also served as Chair of the Free TV Australia Engineering Committee, Director of Global Television (the leading Australian outside broadcast and studio facilities provider) and Director of TX Australia (the owner and provider of television broadcast transmission facilities in Australia’s major metropolitan markets).

Charles is working with customers to help define their next generation business & technology digital transformation – covering high-performance scale-out File storage for real-time video production, Object storage, multi-cloud deployments and AI / ML / DL for “useful AI business outcomes”. He prefers a consultative approach favouring collaborative solutions with leading application partner vendors to yield excellent results for Dell customers.

Charles Sevior holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Business & Technology (MBT) from the University of NSW / AGSM in Sydney. He is an active member and contributor to the IABM, and SMPTE professional media organisations.

Charles Sevior comes from the Media industry and also provides focus on solutions for Automotive, AI, FSI, Smart Cities and other sectors across APAC.Prior to joining Dell he was Technology Director for leading broadcaster and publisher Nine Entertainment Co. Australia.
