Hui Khoon Ng

Ng Hui Khoon is an Associate Professor at Yale-NUS College, and holds a joint appointment at the Centre for Quantum Technologies, NUS, where her group, working on aspects of quantum computing, is housed. Hui Khoon is an expert on the topic of quantum error correction and fault tolerance, the main thrust for overcoming the biggest obstacle — the issue of noise and its damaging effects — to the realisation of useful quantum computers. Her recent research focus has been on bringing theoretical fault tolerance schemes closer to practical implementation, including examining the real energetic costs of implementing quantum computers that are noise resilient.
