Ipshita Chaturvedi

Ipshita Chaturvedi is a partner in Dentons Rodyk’s Corporate practice group and co-heads the Environment and Natural Resources practice which includes carbon transactions, business and human rights, supply chain management, sustainable finance as well as the environment and social aspects in M&A transactions.

With over 13 years of experience in practicing environmental law and natural resources management, Ipshita has worked extensively with the private sector helping them transition to more sustainable processes, various governments and regulators (South Asia, ASEAN, European, and from the MENA region), as well as international organisations like the United Nations providing clients with a 360-degree understanding of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and various issues around sustainability – such as compliance, access to sustainable finance, policy advisory, sustainability reporting and avoidance of greenwashing.

Prior to joining Dentons, Ipshita was the founding partner of an award-winning law firm offering end-to-end services exclusively on matters of sustainable development including environmental compliance and regulation, ESG strategy, scaling up clean-technology (venture-capital), waste management and EPR related matters, carbon offsets and finance, as well as water law and oceans governance.
