Warren Chik is Assoc Prof of Law in the YPH School of Law at the Singapore Management University. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Centre for AI and Data Governance and is involved in several inter-disciplinary research programs with the Centre as well as with AISG on matters relating to data governance, data protection and federated learning systems. Warren researches primarily in the areas of online content regulations, privacy and data protection, e-commerce, electronic crimes and online torts, internet intermediary laws and IP issues relating to ICT developments. Warren has co-written and published the first textbook on ICT law in Singapore, titled "Information and Communications Technology Law in Singapore", and have written extensively on issues relating to the above areas of research. Warren is also admitted to the bars in Singapore, New York and England and Wales and was with the Attorney-General's Chambers for 8 years prior to joining academia.
