Instead, social media was filled with negative sentiments intertwined with anti-government rhetoric. Bryan envisioned a platform that showcased the best of Singapore by locals, through quality and meaningful content. This quickly became what we now know as TheSmartLocal.com.
As a leader in the industry, Bryan never ceased to innovate. In addition to experimenting with different types of content formats, he continued to identify industry gaps. Today, Bryan is the CEO of TSL Media Group, a media tech collective that is home to 8 well-loved brands, including TheSmartLocal, EatBook, Zula and Must Share News. Apart from having the largest Telegram distribution network in Singapore, the Group also currently manages 20 targeted TikTok channels. Bryan’s mission from the beginning has always been to connect the world through a hyperlocal lens. TSL Media Group currently generates an annual viewership of over 200 million page views and 200 million video views across all platforms, through helpful and positive content.
