Selwyn Scharnhorst is the Director for Ecosystem Development in Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency (CSA). He is responsible for developing a national ecosystem that comprises a vibrant cybersecurity industry and skilled cybersecurity professionals.
Prior to joining CSA, Selwyn was the Director for Industry at the Ministry of Communications and Information. In that capacity, he worked with the former Infocomm Development Authority, former Media Development Authority and Design Singapore on economic regulation, industry development and IT infrastructure. He was also a board member of Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd. Earlier in his career, he served in DSO National Laboratories, Ministry of National Development, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Transport.
Selwyn was awarded the Defence Technology Prize for R&D Teams in 2004. He read Physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and was a Sloan Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
