Asia-Pacific Telecommunity

APT is a member-driven intergovernmental organization dedicated to the development of telecommunication and ICT in the Asia-Pacific region with a particular focus on the expansion in less developed areas. APT was founded in 1979 by the joint initiative of ESCAP and ITU. Currently, APT has a large base of membership with over 170 members (38 Members, 4 Associate Members and 136 Affiliate Members) from across the region.
