Continued research and innovation drives our business, which ranges from wired and wireless telecommunications devices based on IoT to wireless telecom solutions such as remote control systems and sensor platforms that comply with international standards. Leveraging our technological prowess and competitive edge in 3G, WiMAX, 4G LTE, and now 5G telecommunications, we develop and market products and solutions such as wireless IoT routers, wireless external modems, and other applied devices around the world.
Currently, we are developing 5G Wi-Fi routers for the Korean carrier SK Telecom. When they hit the market in the second half of 2020, this will propel us into a leading position in the fields of public Wi-Fi and smart factories.
We have also acquired Duratech, a company that specializes in diagnosing and analyzing motors. Instead of using vibration sensors attached to motors themselves, the company leverages electric energy for motor diagnosis and analysis ‒ a technology that was reviewed by nuclear power plants in the United States. Duratech’s 20 years of experience and 100% homegrown technologies in this field will help expand our business considerably in the areas of solutions and technological support for the global manufacturing industry.
We have recently focused our research on cloud service platforms and integrated modules to develop solutions for motor diagnosis and analysis and offer them in global markets.
We have also stepped up our research to enter the market for ultra-precision motors such as those for generators, electric vehicles, and aircraft.
