Nick is the Global Head of Policy at Deel, where he leads engagement with governments and policy stakeholders on the future of work. Deel is an AI-powered global payroll and HR platform supporting companies in over 120 countries, including OpenAI, Shopify, and Cloudflare.Before Deel, Nick led global government affairs, environmental sustainability, and social impact at Wise, a global payments technology company. He also co-founded and served on the board of the Financial Technology Association (FTA), a Washington, DC-based trade association representing leaders shaping the future of finance. In addition, he has contributed to international policy efforts through advisory working groups with the World Bank, Finance Canada, and the United Nations.Previously, Nick spent a decade working for members of Congress, including as Staff Director of the U.S. Senate Banking Subcommittee on International Finance, where he was a lead negotiator for the first major banking legislation in a decade, authored several other laws, and shaped numerous regulatory actions. He began his career in journalism and frequently speaks on the intersection of labor, finance, technology, and policy.
