Profile
Currently Chief Scientist at Digital Life Line, Weijie is focused on commercialising biotech and medtech innovations that can be rapidly scaled in community settings to enable accessible, accurate health screening. After completing his PhD training in Pathobiology at Johns Hopkins, Weijie co-founded PathoVax, a vaccine platform spinoff, while completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He then led clinical operations at Healint, a digital healthtech startup that helps over 3.5 million users manage migraine symptoms, and oversaw several decentralised clinical trials done fully remotely on a smartphone app. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, Digital Life Line is tackling the ever-increasing patient burden in tertiary hospitals by enabling medical devices that can be used in primary care settings with minimal supervision, hereby allowing for smart triaging of referrals and disease monitoring at greater convenience to patient.
