AWS AI Safety for Business Roundtable (By Invitation Only)

Government, industry, and civil society all agree on the importance of a responsible approach to AI development. But for individual businesses, broad discussions around safe and responsible AI are often abstracted from specific use-cases. The practical steps that businesses operating in different sectors need to take to assess and mitigate risks are not always clear. This is especially the case for Small Medium Enterprises, that are looking to deploy AI but are concerned with potential consequences. This risks leading businesses to hold off on adopting AI altogether, depriving consumers and economies of the potential benefits.
In this round table, Amazon Web Services (AWS) will share case studies and bring together policy-makers and AI practitioners in a practical discussion of what businesses need to do to operationalise AI safety. AWS will also share plans to launch an "AWS Responsible Generative AI" Community where members can contribute to update latest policies for AI in different sectors and share their experiences of using AI tools for specific use cases in their industries.

This session will showcase the following demonstrations:
1. Healthscribe
A purpose-built generative AI service empowering clinical applications that automatically transcribe and summarise patient-clinician conversations that meet the requirements of security, privacy, and healthcare compliance.
2. Privacy-First AI – Explore Private Documents Securely with Generative AI
Gain a deeper understanding of your information without compromising its privacy. Explore how Amazon’s Generative AI services such as Amazon Bedrock allows developers or end users to build a generative AI chatbot for private documents. With Foundation Models from six companies available in Amazon Bedrock, users can do a side by side comparison for the most appropriate Foundation Model for their specific use case. Try out Amazon Bedrock by asking questions from a 300+ pages book on Singapore’s History.
3. The Friendly AI – Using Generative AI for Digital Story Telling for Children
Learn about AWS collaboration with National Library Board to create “StoryGen”, an exhibition where library patrons can add a unique twist to one of six well-loved stories, from Singapore folktales to classics like The Little Red Riding Hood, in an engaging, relatable, and interactive way by using generative AI. Discover how AWS ensures generated stories and visuals remain appropriate yet entertaining for children and explore creative use cases of generative AI with the opportunity to build your own generative AI applications without any coding knowledge.
