Alamelu Subramaniam is currently the Assistant Chief Executive (Media Policy & Content) at the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA). Her areas of responsibility include media and content policy and regulations and online safety. Alamelu and her team have been instrumental in effecting cutting edge regulations in online safety including a Code of Practice for Social Media Services, and a Code of Practice for App Distribution Services.

Alamelu is a seasoned communications professional, having spent the bulk of her 30-year public sector career, advising ministries on communications for key national policies and crises.
