Andrea Scrosati is Group Chief Operating Officer and CEO Continental Europe, Fremantle, based across London and Rome.
Andrea is a member of the Fremantle Executive Committee, which sees several central functions of the company report to Scrosati, including Strategy, M&A, Marketing, all Global Scripted activities of the group (TV Drama/Film) and all Global Documentaries activities. This also includes the new AI label Imaginae Studios and overseeing operations across Continental Europe and Israel.
Under Andrea’s leadership, Fremantle completed the acquisition of several production companies including Wildside (Italy), Miso Films (Denmark), 12 companies in the Nordics (including Nent Studios, rebranded as TheNiceGroup), the Irish scripted powerhouse Element Pictures, the Italian iconic company Lux Vide, the UK factual company 72Films, the European Group Asacha Media, and the Singapore-based group Beach House Pictures. Since Andrea joined Fremantle, the company’s scripted output accelerated from 61 shows produced in 2019 to an average of 100 shows yearly, and 8 films in 2019 to over 20 yearly.
Fremantle is now a major player in all the main International film Festivals and has won awards in Venice including the Golden Lion, Cannes, Berlin and won 4 Oscars with the movie “Poor Things”. The company was awarded “Movie Producer of the Year” by The Hollywood Reporter.
