As the Director of Microsoft Singapore’s Public Sector business, Lum Seow Khun leads her team to support Singapore’s vision to transform the nation through technology – a vision of not just a smart, but also an inclusive economy and society.
Additionally, Seow Khun and her team is focused on how core and emerging technologies can be applied as enablers for government, healthcare, research and education agencies to deliver better services for Singapore citizens, residents and businesses.
Prior to joining Microsoft Singapore, Seow Khun was General Manager for Global Technology Services at IBM Singapore where she held P&L responsibilities for infrastructure and technical support services. In her 20+ years with IBM, Seow Khun held numerous senior management positions at ASEAN and in Singapore, including Director for Systems (Singapore), Country Manager for Public Sector (Singapore), General Manager for Government/Healthcare (ASEAN) and Business Unit Executive for IBM Developers and University Relations (ASEAN).
Outside of work, Seow Khun serves as council member of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS), the nation’s largest infocomm body, and the premier organisation for industry practitioners, leaders and students. At SCS, she chairs the Women in Technology Special Interest Group, co-chairs the Student Chapter to promote STEM career within the IHLs. In 2019, she also led the committee who worked with Trade, Association and Chambers (TAG) to deepen ICT skills in non-IT industries.
