Sun Ting is a seasoned professional with about a decade of experience in patent search, examination, and analysis. In addition to his extensive patent examination background, he has spearheaded several patent analytics initiatives that generated valuable insights into emerging technologies and identified research and development opportunities for government agencies and local research institutions. Sun Ting has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences and has trained overseas government organisations on topics such as patent analytics, technology landscaping, and IP intelligence. He also serves as an associate lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).

Sun Ting holds a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a master’s degree in IP and Innovation Management from SUSS. Prior to his current role, he served as a post-doctoral research fellow specialising in thin films and nanomaterials for water, energy, and defence applications.
