Paul Burton has been Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Aviation Week Network (AWN), Informa plc, since May 2018, when he became the region’s first full-time senior leader. His role expanded in January 2025 to encompass the Middle East.

Mr. Burton is responsible for shaping and implementing AWN strategy for these regions and his portfolio includes the development of events, data, consultancy and marketing services.

Alongside regional Informa teams, Mr. Burton is helping to formulate and oversee new aviation and aerospace events, notably Super Terminal Expo in Hong Kong, launched in November 2024.

He has provided consultative support to government agencies, OEMs and MROs in the commercial and defence domains, helping them to establish successful growth plans. Multiple projects have focused on export strategies, competitive and technological analysis and market entry studies.

Previous roles have included Managing Editor at Jane’s, Competitive Intelligence Manager at BAE SYSTEMS and Researcher in the UK Parliament.
