Rico Behlke

Rico Behlke is the Head of Global Business Development (Teleports) at Quadsat, a Danish company revolutionising satellite antenna testing and calibration using drone-based systems. Quadsat now works with leading organisations including SES, OneWeb, and the European Space Agency.

He holds a PhD in space physics and MSc in risk management and began his career studying space weather phenomena before moving into the satellite industry.

Prior to joining Quadsat, Rico spent almost ten years with KSAT at its satellite ground station on Svalbard in the Norwegian Arctic working both in Operations and Customer Success Management.

Rico has developed a strong passion about sustainable space operations – with special focus on the ground segment. Radio frequencies as a finite resource become more congested and contested – a problem that can be mitigated by technological and regulatory developments.
