Sze Jin is Registered Clinical Psychologist and Registered Supervisor who is dedicated in helping others discover meaning in their lives and heal from past stressors, losses, or trauma. Over the past 4 years, she has worked with various clients from America, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bhutan, Mongolia, and Maldives. Sze Jin has been involved in conducting workshops for the community, corporates, and social service agencies. Her workshops cover a wide range of topics including social skills, emotional regulation, stress management, self-compassion, sleep, understanding disability and more. Sze Jin’s first job in the special needs sector was in 2012, where she worked as a case manager, job coach, and trainer for special needs. It was then that she knew she had to do more and increase her impact in the sector. She worked as a psychologist for individuals with special needs for over 2 years before moving out to start her own practice. Emphasising on the uniqueness of each individual, Sze Jin does not believe in a “one-sizefits-all” approach and is well-versed in a variety of therapeutic models. She has been trained in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. She is well received by her clients due to her personable nature and friendly demeanor. She treats every individual as unique and ensures that she caters her therapeutic approach accordingly. At her workplace, she is known for her creativity in developing workshops and programmes promoting wellbeing at work. Sze Jin received her Master’s in Clinical/Community Mental Health from Western Illinois University in the United States of America. She was awarded membership to the Who’s who National Honors Society, which recognises individuals who demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. A Kind Place was a Finalist in the 2023 President’s challenge start up of the year award for Social Enterprises. Sze Jin continues to help improve the mental health and lives of people with and without disability in the community, companies, social service agencies and schools.
