Veerajagadheswar Prabakaran is a Research Fellow at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where he specialises in the translation of robotic research into commercially viable systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Reconfigurable Robotics from Tokyo Denki University, Japan, in 2019. With a strong research portfolio comprising over 45 publications in leading journals and conferences, Veera has made significant contributions to the field of robotics, particularly in perception, path planning, and adaptive robotic design.
Veera has played a pivotal role in the successful commercialisation of robotic platforms across three startups spun out from SUTD. Among these, Wefaa Robotics has emerged as the most mature, focusing on the development and production of educational robotic platforms. He also currently serves as the Chief Technology Advisor at Wefaa Robotics, guiding the company's technological direction and product development strategies. His work continues to bridge the gap between academic innovation and real-world application, advancing robotics in both educational and industrial domains.
