As the head for Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy, Gerald leads consulting, advisory and audit engagements on AI, data privacy and cyber security for BDO in Singapore. Gerald’s primary area of focus includes Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Personal Data Privacy (PIPL, GDPR & PDPA), Cloud Security and OT security.
Gerald has a background founded in Certificate Authority (CA), cloud computing, cyber security and currently served as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for an international hospitality client. He has spent a number of years leading Certificate Authority (CA), data privacy, cloud and cybersecurity audit projects, including planning and auditing government and enterprises on WebTrust for CA. Gerald is also passionate in developing data privacy workshops and conducting training for data privacy compliance and cybersecurity awareness, helping organisations to manage data risk and meeting prevailing regulatory requirements for personal data privacy.
Gerald has also undertaken international cross-border data privacy projects conducting gap analysis between GDPR & designated local data privacy regulations and provides recommendations to bridge gaps for compliance.”
