Derrick Heng was appointed Chief Commercial Officer, International Digital Services (IDS), in January 2026. In this newly created leadership role, he drives commercial strategy, product innovation and go-to-market execution across Singtel’s regional digital platforms beyond core connectivity. His portfolio spans several cross-border rewards, cloud services, and AI-enabled digital solutions for small and medium enterprises.
With over 25 years of experience, Derrick brings deep expertise in strategy, digital transformation, marketing and sales, particularly within the telecommunications and technology sectors.
Derrick has held several key leadership roles across the Singtel Group. In his earlier tenure with Consumer Singapore, he led the Segment Marketing functions, accelerating market share growth across key customer segments. He subsequently took on regional assignments at Telkomsel Indonesia and Globe Philippines.
In his previous role as Board Director of Marketing at Telkomsel, Derrick championed Fixed-Mobile Convergence, accelerated 5G adoption, and spearheaded Customer Care 2.0 powered by GenAI. He also scaled the MyTelkomsel Super App into one of Indonesia’s leading mobile applications, driving digital lifestyle and ecosystem integration.
Derrick holds a Master’s degree from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore. He has received industry recognition for his leadership and impact, including CMO of the Year – Asia-Pacific at The Fast Mode LiveX Awards 2026, and Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 50 Over Fifty Award for Leadership and Innovation.
