Ivan Li is the Founder and Managing Director of Climant Impact, a strategic advisory firm dedicated to accelerating climate action and the energy transition. He brings over a decade of advisory experience across diverse industries, including technology and data centres, multi-sector conglomerates, consumer goods, financial services, and hard-to-abate sectors such as energy, mining and manufacturing, particularly in the APAC region. Ivan’s expertise in the technology and data centre market comes from supporting operators across the region on articulating credible value propositions that intersect between business (such as AI use cases), energy, climate and regional priorities to unlock value and deploy capacity.

At Climant Impact, Ivan leads engagements focused on helping organisations turn climate ambition into measurable outcomes. He has worked with both leadership and operational teams to design strategies that align business growth with climate objectives, with expertise covering: 

• Decarbonisation strategy and implementation: Developing Scope 1, 2, and 3 pathways and roadmaps aligned with business growth and supply chain realities and execution. 
• Climate and energy transition planning: Integrating clean energy, energy efficiency, and carbon management strategies into core operations such as supporting development and procurement. 
• Carbon markets and policy development: Designing offset and credit strategies, internal carbon pricing mechanisms, and cooperation frameworks (such as Article 6) alongside government engagement. 

Notable projects include developing net-zero roadmaps for regional conglomerates, supporting carbon project development to enable Article 6 collaboration implementation, leading climate and nature risk and opportunity quantifications and advising on clean energy and sustainable investment frameworks for data centres and industrial clients across APAC enabling over US$1B of capital deployed into sustainable infrastructure.

Prior to founding Climant Impact, Ivan held leadership roles in sustainability consulting, management consulting, and investment advisory, where he advised clients globally on business strategy, operating models, capital raising, regulatory assessments, and tax planning. 

Ivan holds an MBA from INSEAD and both a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo. He is a CPA, CA (Canada) and a Registered Management Consultant (RMC).
