Kelly Forbes is the President and Executive Director of the AI Asia Pacific Institute (AIAPI), where she leads efforts to strengthen Asia-Pacific economies through the responsible development and adoption of artificial intelligence. Under her leadership, AIAPI has collaborated with international organisations, regional policymakers, government officials, and industry leaders to help shape the future of AI.

In addition to her role at AIAPI, Kelly advises Qlik on accelerating the responsible development of its AI-driven product portfolio. She also serves on the advisory committee for the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), where she focuses on the processing of personal data in autonomous and semi-autonomous systems.

Kelly is dual-qualified as a lawyer in both Common and Civil Law, and has earned certificates from the Australian National University and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
