Sanjay Podder is the Global Lead for Technology Sustainability Innovation at Accenture, where he focuses on integrating technology with sustainability to lead initiatives in Green Software, Cloud and Responsible and Green AI. His role involves driving thought leadership and pioneering transformations for businesses and governments at the intersection of these fields.

With a passion for digital technology, Sanjay has directed his efforts towards developing sustainable solutions that align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. His current emphasis on decarbonizing digital technologies reflects a strategic and innovative approach to environmental challenges in the tech sector. He holds more than 50 granted patents in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, highlighting his substantial contributions to the field.

Sanjay actively engages with diverse stakeholders, including non-profit organizations, academic institutions, large corporations, startups, and governmental bodies. His collaborative projects have spanned a range of critical issues such as green software, responsible AI, biodiversity, social inclusion, and health. In his capacity as Chair and Co-Founder of the Green Software Foundation, Sanjay oversees a consortium dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint of software. His leadership in leveraging technology for social impact was acknowledged when he was honored as an Eisenhower Fellow in 2017.

Sanjay's educational foundation includes a degree in computer engineering and an MBA, and alumni of Mumbai University and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
