Alfredo Serrano is EMEA Director at Sceye, a US aerospace company dedicated to advancing stratospheric technology to connect people and protect the planet. Sceye builds High-Altitude Platform Systems, also known as HAPS, for stratospheric infrastructure.

Alfredo began his career at Motorola, working in R&D centers in the USA and Ireland on the development of GSM, the digital cellular standard that shifted mobile communications from a niche technology to a global infrastructure. He later led network deployments across Southern and Eastern Europe and Latin America, gaining hands-on experience scaling complex infrastructure in demanding markets. From there he held senior P&L and commercial leadership roles at technology companies in telecom software, digital services, and connected mobility, taking startups from early stage to global customer bases across three continents.

Over the past decade he has focused on early-stage deep tech ventures, leading business development and commercial strategy across EMEA while raising investment from institutional and sovereign investors in the EMEA region, where cross-border trust and technical credibility carry equal weight.

At Sceye, Alfredo leads commercial expansion across Europe and the Middle East, drives strategic alliances with major industrial partners, and works closely with leadership on investor relations and funding strategy.

He holds an MSc in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master's degree in Digital Transformation Strategy by Questrom School of Business, Boston University.
