Benoît Taisne is an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, Director of the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) Centre for Geohazard Observations, and a Principal Investigator at EOS. His work sits at the intersection of geophysics, remote sensing, and digital infrastructure, focusing on how integrated data systems can enhance monitoring of dynamic Earth processes and associated risks.

He develops frameworks that combine satellite observations with ground-based sensing networks, leveraging signal processing and data integration to improve the detection and characterisation of natural hazards. His research contributes to the design of scalable, resilient monitoring systems built on robust data pipelines and cross-platform interoperability—key elements of modern digital infrastructure ecosystems.

Dr Taisne has led interdisciplinary collaborations across Southeast Asia, working with academic institutions, government agencies, and international partners to translate scientific innovation into operational capabilities. His experience spans both the development of advanced sensing methodologies and the challenges of deploying them in real-world, resource-constrained environments.
