Dr. Heidi Ahokallio-Leppälä has been employed by Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) since 2006, and as has held the position of vice president since 2016. She is leading and managing HAMK’s education to 21st century; which means digitalization, internationalization and more co-operation with enterprises. Heidi is responsible for RDI, competence management, education, human resources and global education. She has done her PhD. (education) in competence management. HAMK’s Management system; including competence and strategic management, is based on her research. During the past few years, she has been on high demand as a lecturer and a panelist. Heidi has many positions of trust, both on national level and in Education Committee of the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences Arene. Heidi was a co-writer of a book “Leading in a complex world – wisdom to meet wicked problems”. On a personal level, Heidi is passionate and goal-oriented about a wide variety of sports.
