Dr. Ian McLoughlin

Prof. McLoughlin has worked in industry and academia in 4 countries. He has over 300 academic papers, won the 2005 IEE global Innovation in Engineering award, is a Chartered Engineer, an IET Fellow and was twice a Chinese Academy of Sciences Presidents’ International Fellow. His research has been funded by giants such as Google and Huawei as well as UK, NZ, China and Singapore governments. Under the original OTS programme in Singapore, he is researching misinformation, the nature of belief, and protections against AI-augmented misinformation. He chairs the advisory panel for the SIT x NVIDIA AI Centre (SNAIC) and specialises in AI processing, particularly for speech and audio.
