Ir. Ts. Ahmad Shafiq Mirza Bin Mansor is a distinguished Principle Assistant Director (Engineering) at News Technical Facilities Section at Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). With profound expertise in technical coordination, systems engineering, and outside broadcasting, he has been pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution and modernization of RTM’s broadcast operations. Throughout his career, Ir. Ts. Ahmad Shafiq has overseen technical infrastructure for numerous high-profile international events, including the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games, the SEA Games, and the Laureus World Sports Awards. A notable highlight was his role as the AV Infrastructure and Signal Master Control Room (MCR) System Engineer for the UN-organized World Urban Forum (WUF) 9 in Kuala Lumpur. He has also collaborated extensively with global broadcast giants such as Eurosport, Fox Sports, and J-Sport. Beyond live event operations, he is a recognized innovator in media technology management. He spearheaded the development of RTM's hybrid-cloud High Definition (HD) News Digital Archive System (ADiB) and the recent integration of cutting-edge 5G Network Slicing Technology for live broadcast facilities. His groundbreaking case studies on these technologies have earned him multiple prestigious Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Technical Review Prizes.
