Dr. Jekaterina Kalinienė is Head of Life Sciences at Innovation Agency Lithuania and Lithuania's government-appointed delegate to the OECD Working Party on Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Converging Technologies (BNCT). She also serves as an EIC Accelerator Expert Evaluator and as Country Expert for the Horizon Europe Programme Committee (Cluster Health).

Her career bridges policy, industry, and entrepreneurship. As a healthtech co-founder, she led a medical device from concept to CE marking and FDA clearance within 18 months. As CEO of SYNLAB Lithuania, she delivered 34% EBITDA growth over 24 months, and as CEO of Alfa Clinic she pioneered Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing in Lithuania, culminating in the company's acquisition.

She holds a Master's in Public Health from Vilnius University and an Executive MBA from ISM University, and is completing a PhD in Medical and Health Sciences at Vilnius University. Her current focus is responsible innovation in emerging biotechnologies, data-driven health systems, and building the Nordic-Baltic life sciences ecosystem - work that anchors Life Sciences Baltics 2027, Lithuania's flagship international life sciences event.
