As the Principal Analyst of IAMT’s Business Intelligence team, Riikka is responsible for various research projects tracking the adoption of emerging technologies such as Cloud, IP, AI, remote production and streaming technology as well as analyzing the MediaTech market through the lens of different content sectors like live sports, news and studio production. She is also responsible for IAMT’s ChainTracker report, which is an annual deep dive into key technology trends in each content chain segment of the media supply chain, analyzing market developments in content creation and production, content management, distribution, monetization and storage at the product-level.

Riikka is a graduate from Helsinki Aalto University with a Master’s degree in Economics. Over the past 13 years, Riikka has worked in a wide range of manufacturing industries in China, Finland and Luxembourg serving in several market research and management consulting roles. Before joining IAMT in 2018, Riikka worked in the medical technology sector, specializing in medical refrigeration and blood preservation systems. During her spare time, Riikka enjoys reading, traveling and skiing.
