Ainkaran Krishnarajah is the Managing Director and Founder of Exponent Venture Group, a provider of independent advisory and management consultancy services for corporates and start-ups across a range of industry sectors. Ainkaran is an experienced senior executive specialising in strategy development, execution and planning, commercial business development and financial analysis. He has held numerous influential roles in corporate strategy, management consulting, finance, sales, and R&D.

Prior to founding Exponent Venture Group in 2018, Ainkaran was Director of Corporate Strategy at Singtel Optus. Prior to that, Ainkaran was the Commercial Director for Optus Retail, Digital and Small Medium Business (SMB) channels.

Ainkaran joined Optus from top-tier management consulting firm Booz & Company where he delivered strategic advisory services to telco and media sectors across ANZ, SEA and the Middle East. Prior to Booz & Company, Ainkaran was responsible for regulatory and public policy at Telstra for spectrum and media.

Ainkaran commenced his career at Ericsson, where he led business development for Vodafone and 3 Mobile sales account teams in Australia and held roles in driving development of 3G and 4G standardisation in the late 90s, whilst being based in Stockholm, Sweden.

He holds an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science both from the University of Western Australia (1997). Ainkaran was a casual academic (2006-2013) having established a Masters course in 3G/4G wireless engineering at the University of Technology Sydney and holds several patents in the field of wireless communications.
