Chak Kong Soon has been a part of the ICM industry for more than 35 years. His passion in building and nurturing organisations led him to collaborate with his prominent partners to start Stream Global Pte Limited, a local “ Venture Catalyst” . Stream Global invests in and partners with entrepreneurs to help them realize their full potential. Experienced partners in Stream Global act as mentors to these entrepreneurs, providing them with hands-on business guidance to steer them towards their goals.
Chak is dedicated to advancing the ICM industry in Singapore. He serves on the boards of the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and the NTUC U-Care Fund, and chairs the Academic Advisory Committees of several educational institutions. He is also involved in various industry committees, including the IT Standards Committee and the Data Protection Advisory Committee.
Chak's contributions have been recognized with awards such as the "Young Professional of the Year" at the IT Leader Awards in 1999. He has served as President of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and is an Honorary Fellow of the SCS. In 2019, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the IT Leaders Awards for his significant impact on the industry.
