Liz Ortiguera is a business strategist, industry leader and former scientist/engineer with over 25 years of experience in various industries with focus on travel. Liz first worked as a scientist/engineer with Bell Labs then Merck. She then pivoted into strategy and marketing and worked with American Express for 18 years spanning three divisions – Card, Merchant and Travel. In Travel, she lead Amex's Travel Partner Network managing partnerships across 28 countries in AsiaPacific. After Amex, she worked in a series of start-ups including a digital lifestyle product, an EdTech platform and a travel social enterprise. She was then appointed CEO of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and lead travel recovery and innovation initiatives for the Asia-Pacific travel sector. Last year, Liz became the MD of AsiaPacific and Sr Advisor for World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Concurrently, she manages an independent consulting firm Bridge XP Advisory. Liz is from New York and has worked in Asia-Pacific for over 20 years. She is an alumni of four universities- Stanford, Columbia, NYU and The Cooper Union. In addition to her corporate career, Liz has worked with several NGOs supporting education and jobs creation for poverty alleviation. Liz is passionate about innovation, education, sustainability, DEI, and social impact.
