Liyana Sulaiman or known as ‘Li’ (she/her) is a Singaporean serial founder and builder of multiple VC fundedB2B tech startups. She is also a technology speaker, mentor and advisor in the US and Southeast Asia startup ecosystems. Currently, she is building an AI co- pilot to reduce business waste as the Chief Product & Technology Officer and Co -Founder of Pollen. She is recognized as a technology product leader in Singapore, Top 30 Women in Product Management for APAC 2019 by PMF and TOP 8 ‘Woman of the Year’ finalist for the 2020 Women in IT Awards, APAC edition. As technology advisor and mentor, Liyana has served on several steering committees which includes the Media Development Authority, Science Centre Singapore and Yayasan Mendaki’s Digital Transformation in Singapore. As a CSPO certified technical product mentor, she lends her time and expertise at the Founder Institute- Kuala Lumpur and various other developer focused hackathons across the region. Liyana is also passionate about bringing more diversity and inclusion into the technology and innovation spaces. Previously she was a founding board advisor and Managing Director for global non-profit organization Girls in Tech Singapore (2012-2016), where she has spoken, judged and organized numerous local startup events such as Startup Weekend, Singapore’s inaugural Google Design & Development Day and Accenture Consumer Innovation Awards. As a recognition of her early contributions and achievements , she has been appointed a UN Women Singapore Ambassador in STEM for the Girls2Pioneers initiative since 2014.An activist for climate related causes, Li recently participated in Her Planet Earth 100km Gobi Desert camel riding challenge to raise USD 50,000 for The Nature Conservancy- Mongolia.
