Profile

An established professional with over 20 years of experience, Benjamin B. Azada is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Converge ICT Solutions, Inc., the fastest-growing broadband provider in the Philippines.


As CCO, Mr. Azada leads the nationwide marketing and sales team to achieve targets and meet revenue expectations. He also spearheads the company’s growth strategy for the Residential and Enterprise segments, and is tasked to develop these in both new and existing areas.


In April 2023, Mr. Azada was appointed as the company’s Chief Sustainability Officer. As Chief Sustainability Officer, Azada leads the implementation of the company’s sustainability commitment and roadmap, as well as compliance with sustainability reporting requirements. Under his watch, Converge improved its ESG ratings, most notably receiving an “A” rating from MSCI. Additionally, Converge has been classified as a ‘low-risk’ firm by Sustainalytics and received an upgraded ESG score from S&P Global.


Mr. Azada joined Converge in April 2020 as its Chief Strategy Officer, where he led the team in identifying, developing, and executing key strategic initiatives to drive corporate performance.


Prior to joining Converge, Mr. Azada was the Consulting Managing Principal and a Management Board member of PwC Philippines, and a Partner of PwC’s South East Asia Consulting Practice.


During his time at PwC, Mr. Azada led strategy and business transformation projects for clients across Greater China and Southeast Asia, with emphasis on the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. He was assigned to PwC’s Hong Kong firm from 2001-2014, progressing through the ranks and holding increasingly responsible positions.


Mr. Azada holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and a PgDip in Business Administration (with Merit) from the University of Durham, UK. He has attended executive education courses at INSEAD and is currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Development at the University of Sussex. He is a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Sustainability Professional, and a Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential holder.
