With 18 years in finance and technology, Mr. Wang Hao's expertise spans blockchain, asset tokenization, family offices, hedge funds, and investment banking. He previously co-founded Metabank and served as Chief Operating Officer, developing a blockchain-based technology solutions for developing countries. Prior to that, he played pivotal roles at IDEG Singapore and its sister firms to set up its global headquarters in Singapore and acquire relevant licences.
Wang Hao has spent 15 years at major hedge funds, family offices and investment banks including Citi and Nomura.
Wang Hao, a Chartered Financial Analyst since 2010 and a Chartered Fellow in FinTech, combines his expertise with strategic investments in Multicoin Capital, Spartan, LongHash Ventures, Blockchain Founders Fund, and various Asian fintech firms. His role as a limited partner provide his deep insights in blockchain and fintech innovation, bridging industry connections from East to West and showcasing his global perspective and technical competence in financial technologies.
Tri-lingual in English, Mandarin and Japanese, Wang Hao graduated from Tsinghua University and the University of Tokyo in materials engineering.
He also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Metaverse Committee and Head of the ASEAN and RCEP Regions of the Internationalization Department, the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology (“CIAPST”).
